Testimonial by Erin Ryan

"I love how Pam's courses are stuffed full of colourful displays, things-to-do and things-to-avoid, helpful tips and reminders about the importance of the colour wheel and having different values in a piece. Her welcoming, friendly and encouraging manner are much appreciated. She brings to her teaching a wonderful balance of confidence and humility that shows up in her good humour and great patience! It was a delight to attend Pam's course, and I look forward to the next one.”

THE ART OF THE WEATHERVANE

Ragg Tyme School of Rug Hooking - May 8-12, 2016 - Niagara On The Lake, Ontario

PEI Rug Hookers - May 18- June 30 for Online Design, Oct 20-22 for in class completion

Weathervanes have played important roles as weather forecasters for 5500 years and as story tellers of legends, religious beliefs, and status symbols. These pieces of 'Art In The Sky' translate beautifully into the rug hooking medium. Pam will also give you a glimpse into the vane's history throughout an interactive week together. Whether you create your own design, adapt a design, or use a pattern, Pam will assist you in creating and/or choosing your whimsical or traditional piece and colour plan before class begins so that you have maximum time to hook throughout the week. Your piece can be hooked in traditional and/or alternative fibres and techniques. Skies and borders can be calm, playful, conservative or sophisticated. The options are numerous and the choice is yours!
